Let’s begin with possibilities.
What does Creative Freedom mean to you?
Maybe it’s consulting. Coaching. Writing. Art. A small business. Or a combination you haven’t quite found a name for yet.
Maybe it’s also going for a walk on a winter afternoon while there’s still light outside. Picking your children up from school. Grocery shopping on a quiet Monday.
While doing work that makes you come alive.
My Story
But here’s something I didn’t understand when I left corporate.
I worked in the corporate world for about a decade before becoming a coach. I knew how to succeed there. There were goals to meet, structures to work within, and people to collaborate with.
When I began working for myself, I initially tried to recreate some of that structure. It took me time to understand that creating work of my own wasn’t simply about creating systems to run a business.
I had to learn how to become the person running it.
Because when you step outside a structure somebody else created, much more becomes yours to decide.
- What should I create?
- What should I charge?
- How do I want people to find me?
- How do I structure my days?
- When something doesn’t work, should I change direction or does it simply need more time?
- And perhaps the hardest question of all: Whose judgment do I trust?
This transition expanded me and challenged me more than I ever expected. I’ve learned that this isn’t simply a career transition. It’s a shift from externally supplied structure and validation toward greater internal authority.
Because the plan is only the beginning.
Of course, strategy and systems matter. You need to know about offers, marketing, sales, pricing, finances, and whatever else your particular work requires.
But I learned something precious about building a business: a strategy can make perfect sense and still be completely wrong for you.
I tried different approaches because successful people told me they worked. Sometimes I could even make myself follow them for a while. But eventually I had to learn the difference between following somebody else’s formula and building in a way that aligned with my values, strengths, and ways of working.
And there’s another complication. Sometimes “that’s not aligned for me” really means “I’m afraid.” Fear of being seen. Fear of rejection. Fear of asking for money. Fear that we’ll choose something and discover it doesn’t work.
Learning to distinguish genuine misalignment from fear requires something deeper than another strategy. It requires knowing and trusting ourselves deeply.

You don’t need another blueprint
You need the freedom to build your own.
This is where we’ll work with what I call your Inner Operating System: beliefs, identity, self-trust, emotional patterns, and relationships with money, visibility, uncertainty, and success. Thoughts that travel with you into whatever you build.
Because once your plans meet real life, pricing can expose deservingness. Visibility can expose fear of judgment. Selling can reveal beliefs about asking and receiving. Choosing an offer can test self-trust. Uncertainty can expose our need for external validation.
After stepping away from one ladder, the last thing you need is somebody handing you another one.
The business becomes one of the places where our beliefs reveal themselves the most. I know, because mine did.
Over the years, I’ve had to examine what I believed about money and worth, learn to trust my intuition and separate it from fear, recognize when I seek external validation, make more room for inspiration and fun, and keep discovering what my way of working actually looks like.
I’m someone who has made this transition and spent years studying and practicing what it asks of us. But I’m still learning and growing every day. I’m not standing at the finish line handing you a formula for how I think you should build your life of freedom.
A year designed around the transition itself.
The year has two broad movements.
Months 1-6:
Build the foundation and begin the journey.
In the first half, we’ll uncover the beliefs and patterns you’re already carrying into this transition and begin changing the ones that no longer serve where you’re going. At the same time, you’ll clarify what Creative Freedom means for you and develop an initial plan for moving toward it.
That might mean beginning to build your professional brand, testing a side hustle, developing an offer, exploring how you want to attract clients, or taking the first concrete steps toward the independent work you want to create.
By the end of the six months, you won’t only have thought about leaving. You’ll have direction, a plan, and real-world movement behind it.
Months 7-12:
Execute, learn, and integrate.
You’ll execute what you’ve designed, gather evidence, adjust what needs adjusting, and keep moving. This is also when the deeper coaching becomes especially valuable, because action has a way of revealing the beliefs we couldn’t see in theory.
Price gets ignored. A post feels vulnerable. An experiment doesn’t work. An opportunity that wasn’t in the plan appears. You begin succeeding and discover that success brings its own edges.
We coach in the messy middle of your action, so you can distinguish strategy problems from fear, respond rather than retreat or react, and keep on building.
This isn’t inner transformation instead of external transformation. It’s inner transformation in service of external transformation.
Less consuming. More becoming.
You can learn the mechanics of starting a business much faster than in a year. But this isn’t only about starting one. It’s about becoming someone who can sustain what you’ve started.
That’s why the program is intentionally spacious. Each month will have a theme, and you’ll move through a simple rhythm:
OBSERVE
Notice what’s here and what you want.
LEARN
Build your skills and perspective.
REFLECT
Go deeper into what matters to you.
EXPERIMENT
Try, test and take meaningful action.
INTEGRATE
Make it part of your life and work.
And you won’t make the transition alone.
One of the things I underestimated when I began working for myself was the importance of community. The people around us can care deeply about us and still not completely understand the transition we’re making.
I eventually created a small peer group with other coaches. There was something incredibly powerful about being with people who understood the experience from the inside out.
That’s part of what I want this group to provide: a room of people building different things in different ways, while navigating the same larger transition. People who can celebrate the experiments, understand the uncertainty, challenge one another lovingly, and remind each other of what’s really possible.
Is this journey for you?
This journey is especially designed for two moments in the transition.
01
You’re still in corporate and can see yourself leaving within the next two to three years. You don’t want to wait until resignation day to begin; you want to use this time to understand what you’re moving toward, work on the beliefs that could follow you out the door, and begin building or testing something alongside your career.
02
You’ve left corporate within the last few years and haven’t yet found the Creative Freedom you want. You’ve tried a few things, but they haven’t quite clicked – or you can feel that you’re still searching for a way of working that is genuinely yours.
03
In either case, you’re excited about creating work that’s fun for you. You have a reflective, creative side, even if your corporate career hasn’t always given you room to fully express it. You appreciate both practical thinking and intuition, and you’re curious about the beliefs and patterns underneath your decisions.
You’re not looking for someone to tell you exactly what to do. You’re looking for support to become increasingly capable of deciding for yourself.

What this isn’t
This is not a conventional business coaching program. We’ll work on both what you’re building and the Inner Operating System of the person building it.
We’ll explore aligned business strategies, beliefs about sales, marketing channels that feel grounded and sustainable, and emotions that arise as you become more visible. We’ll also work with your nervous system through real-life experiments, helping you build the capacity to navigate the transition.
But I won’t give you a formula for the perfect niche, marketing strategy, or offer. Depending on what you choose to build and how you choose to build it, you may want specialized education in business, digital advertising, social media, or your chosen craft.
And this isn’t therapy. We may explore origins of beliefs and patterns and how they affect you today, while respecting where therapeutic support is more appropriate.
This journey works underneath the strategies, so you can choose them, question them, experiment with them, and make them your own.

YOUR CREATIVE FREEDOM
Are you ready to step into Your Creative Freedom?
I can tell you from experience that creating work of your own will ask you to outgrow who you were in corporate. It certainly asked that of me.
And six years into my own journey, knowing everything I know now – the experiments that worked, the ones that didn’t, the things I had to unlearn, and the ways I’ve had to change – I would choose this journey again without a doubt.
So perhaps the question isn’t only: Are you ready to create work of your own?
But are you ready to become who you need to be to sustain it?

Bring the desire to create a life that is truly yours. We’ll spend a year turning that desire into something real, while working with the person you’re becoming along the way.
I’m genuinely excited for you!
